Pop singer Nazia Hassan birthday on 3rd April 2013
Nazia Hassan, who was born on April 3, 1965, is being remembered by associates, relatives and fans all around the world at the day of her birth.
Nazia Hassan was Pakistani famous celebrity in the 70s and the 80s. Her award winning single “Aap Jaisa Koi”, which she sang for the Indian movie Qurbaani made her a legend and pop icon in Pakistan and all of South Asia.
Nazia came into public interest with the PTV’s program ‘Sung Sung’. Her music led to a redefinition of pop melody in the country and Pakistan’s modern music scene owes a enormous debt to the talented singer.
Nazia and Zhoaib received their education at London. Although singers such as Alamgir and Mohammad Ali Shehky were already in the popular singing, it was Nazia who really popularized pop music in Pakistan.
Nazia’s album ‘Disco Deewany’ became highly popular and it made a record sale. Nazia Hassan died on August 13, 2000 in London after a prolonged battle with lung cancer at the young age of 35.
She will forever be regarded as the undisputed pioneer of sub-continental pop music, selling a staggering 60 million records internationally in a career spanning two decades.
