Polio campaigns postponed in Karachi & Quetta
KARACHI/QUETTA: The polio vaccination campaigns in Karachi and Quetta have been postponed for indefinite period owing to uncertain situation in both the cities.
Three-day anti-polio drive was schdelued to start to today.
In Karachi, strike has been called against the Quetta bombing that killed over 80 Hazaras on Saturday. Protests and sit-ins are being held across country to condemd the killings.
In Quetta, where the carnage took place, the families of the victims have said they will not bury their dead until the army steps in to protect Shias. Hundreds of Hazara people are staging sit-in with the dead bodies.
