India awarded state funeral to terrorist: Information ministry of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Information Ministry on Monday said that India awarded state funeral to Sarabjot Singh despite being convicted terrorist while a common Pakistani citizen was attacked in Indian jail.
In a statement issued here, the ministry said that court had handed down death penalty to Sarabjit after being found guilty while a common Pakistani citizen was attacked in Indian jail.
The statement noted that an Indian intelligence officer had conceded that Sarabjit was an agent of country’s intelligence agency the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
Sanaullah, a Pakistani citizen, was attacked in an Indian jail in a tit-for-tat attack on Sarabjit Singh in a Lahore jail.
