Caretaker government set to impose Rs. 1000 tax on mobile phones

ISLAMABAD: The caretaker government is all set to impose Rs. 500 t0 1,000 per piece tax on mobile phones on Saturday.

The mobile phone users will have to pay Rs. 500 on normal phone and Rs. 1,000 per piece extra as sales tax, being planned by the current interim regime.

At the other side, the Electronic Dealers Association has refused to accept this new sale tax on mobile phones and decided to launch protest against it.
